2012 end of the world?

Can someone explain to me this whole end of world thing? i Dont want to know if you think its all bull shat but i just want to know some facts about it. I know that it's the end of the Mayan calendar but…like, why doesnt the calendar continue? whats going to happen to the world? will it blow up? or will people just drop dead???? Im just curious.

Hi there!

It is only tax-payers money again, the entire £600millionGB for this security operation.

If this budget is in any way justified by the threat, why hold the Olympics at all?

As a compromise, the entire games could be televised, thereby alleviating the necessity for all those live spectators. Live spectators could effectively be banned, thereby reducing the security expense, gimendously.

The terrorist were able to create such havoc on 9/11, with only 2 aircraft. Do they have plans already in place to “consume” 6, or even 8 aircraft at the Olympics. They have long since shown more than adequate proof of their skills/technology.

Remember, these aircraft could be “dispatched” from almost any country in the entire world, possibly with a perfectly legitimate destination at any 1 of so many airports within 100 mile radius ot the games. This would give traffic control little, or no warning of any problem.

Even if it were possible to shoot 1 down, this would occur over extreme densely populated territory.

If the Olympics are such an expensive luxury, can we afford this risk, let alone the £600millionGB for a completely futile security operation.

This money would be far better spent on education, hopefully a long term improvement for the hard pressed NHS. It would obviously provide and improve employment, on a long term basis.

Do we really wish to train so many more thousand Rambo's, who would inevitbly only enjoy very short term employment prospects therefrom.

In the worst case scenario, would the hospitals, and other emergency services be able to cope, with such a major holocaust!

How will the already extremely oversubscribed traffic, parking and public transport system cope. These morons have obviously not thought it out, whatsoever.

They possibly believe that someone else, somewhere, will MAKE it work, somehow, at any price, even at 3 times the budget.

There are so many civilizations that claim that 21 December 2012 is the day when our planet will be destroyed The Mayans, the ancient Chinese, and even Nostradamus have predicted the end of the world in December of 2012 . For the Mayan civilization, the end of the 2012 will mean the end of a spiritual era and the birth of a new element called “ether”

Do you believe that the world will end? As you can see, there are a lot of signs that the world will end floods, hurricanes, typhoons, wars, earthquakes and rumors of wars. The prophet Jeremiah said that the end is coming – it will happen the lord says. What would governments of different countries do? No matter where you live, no matter whom you believe you are about the face the END!

Mayans calendar explained that the earth has reached 26,000 revolutions around the sun. On the other side, Leonardo Da Vinci’s Last supper, predicted that a new planet is about to come. The comeback of Judas Iscariot the 13th planet! This is therefore represented by planet x or planet Nebiru which is expected to hit the earth on 2012. Will these predictions come into reality, or just an Imaginative thinking from scientists and other knowledgeable individuals? Whatever you think about it, the movie 2012 will surely grab your attention. Could previous civilizations predict what will happen NEXT?

That was November 13 when I first witnessed the actual movie on silver screen. The story is about the upcoming doomsday which is 2012. It was explained by the Mayans calendar. According to scientists, the upcoming planet Nebiru is nearly approaching. And that was the time when earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and other disasters crushed the whole world. Even religious structures have been devastated and nothing remains. People from all over the world were trying to do everything to save their selves and their relatives. But then, doomsday is doomsday and almost 80 percent of creatures have been lost.

The movie 2012 is really disastrous and emotional. When I was watching, the tears flowed in my eyes. I don’t know what the reason is but it’s very obvious. When our calendar system was different than theirs? It was different 2000 years ago as well.

I don’t believe in that supposed Mayan prophecy, at least as far as the Earth ending all of the sudden.

What’s the deal with the end of the world 2012 prediction?

Is your first reaction to dismiss it as nonsense? This isn’t the first “the end of the world” prediction, or catastrophic prediction, like Y2K, bonking us over the head.

As humans, our lives can get heavy with news of worldly information, especially negative information. Though we’re a very smart bunch of big-brained people, when you compile all this news and information, the build-up of the end of the world paranoia and fear can add up to overwhelming proportions.

In addition, some of us gain pleasure from fanatical information that creates a big buzz and sends a frenzy of fear and sometimes sheer panic within the collective minds of huge populations of normally sane, relatively positive people. It is easy to see that the end of the world 2012 prediction theory has very strong potential for major reactive thinking.

Reacting to ideas or beliefs, whether good or bad, have powerful consequences.

It’s been scientifically proven: When a belief is fortified with strong emotion, incredible results occur. For example, under strong emotional convincing, an ice-cube will burn skin, the mind will actually produce a burn on the skin. These types of experiences have been documented over and over again.

The question that needs answering is how do we control this type of information? Potentially the end of the world 2012 theory can cause some serious damage, like a financial recession where everyone tightens up their purse strings thus magnifying the idea that a lack of money is looming like an unstoppable black cloud of limitation, when most of us instinctively know that wealth and prosperity surround us in every form, at all times.

Beliefs and expectations are powerful.

The images of the 2012 end of the world nightmare are very convincing: The earth opening up and swallowing entire cities: The climate suddenly exploding into an evil storm of darkness and all other visions of absolute destruction. And the reasons for this destruction seem to be focused on us, as if we all missed the boat and lived so sinfully that god or nature has made some conscious choice to viciously end everything, to cleanse and clarify our “sinful” lifestyles and end the world.

On the other hand, some of us take a totally different view.

For example, let’s consider the fundamental law of cause and effect. Is it not absolutely true that for every action there is an equal reaction? This can be understood as a perfect law. You could reasonably say that “evil” does not exist because everything that happens is a perfect reflection of simple laws of nature. In other words, if something happens it must therefore be natural or it couldn’t possibly happen.

Does a frog desire to be a famous opera singer? We could all agree that would be, for lack of a better word, “evil.” If you struck a C-chord on a perfectly tuned musical instrument and the sound came out as an F-chord, would the hairs on the back of your neck not stand up?

Of course the above scenarios could never happen because the natural world would not survive for more than an instant if fundamental laws of the universe behaved so unlawfully. Everything from the slightest mathematical formula would collapse in a micro-second and life would cease to exist faster than the blink of an eye.

Will the end of the world 2012 happen…?

Good question.

Will the world end next Tuesday?

The whole world seems to be talking about the date December 21, 2012. Many people speculate that the world will come to a cataclysmic end on that day. Others say it’s much-ado-about-nothing – that life will go on the same as any other day. There has been much written and much said about 12/21/2012. Why is there such a buzz about this date? What’s it all about? Will December 21, 2012 bring about the end of the world, or will it be just another day? This article attempts to answer these questions.

The ancient Mayan civilization of present day Mexico and Central America was advanced in areas such as architecture, the arts, mathematics, and science-including astronomy. The Mayan astronomers developed an incredibly accurate calendar that stretched for thousands of years, ending abruptly at the date December 21, 2012. What this means is open to conjecture, and the Mayans didn’t explain, but many people have concluded that this date will bring on great change or end of the world. Some believe it will be a great positive spiritual change of some sort, others believe it will be the start of a catastrophic, if not apocalyptic event.

Believers in a doomsday end-of-the-world scenario predict a number of possible events that might bring about the end of the world. Some of the most notable possibilities include the following:

- Galactic Alignment

- Comet or asteroid collision with Earth

- Increased solar activity

- Shift of Earth’s magnetic poles

- Black Hole Explosion

- Gamma Ray Bursts

- Global nuclear or biological war

- Super Volcanic activity

With all of the predictions about 2012, many people are worried about the future. “How do we plan for a cataclysmic event,” “What can we do to stop it” and “How can we survive it” are just a few of the questions being asked about this date. However, despite all the speculation, the uncertainty, and the unanswered questions, even the best educated minds cannot predict for sure what will happen. No one can really know, at least no human on earth can.

This author refers the reader to the Bible, where Jesus himself answered the question about when the end was coming. In the book of Matthew, Chapter 24, verse 36, Jesus said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.” If we are to believe what the Bible says, and many people do, we can conclude that neither the Mayans nor anyone else could have accurately predicted the end of world, because only God knows when it will happen. In fact, Jesus himself, who claimed to be God’s son, didn’t even know.

In conclusion, this author believes that since no one knows the future, it’s more important to live for today than worry about what tomorrow or 2012 will bring. What are you doing today that will make a difference in the world? Are you living life fully, or are you living in fear of some future event that may or may not happen? To quote Jesus again he said “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own” (Matthew 6:34). Good advice for an uncertain time.

Thousands of people around the world are wondering, “Is 2012 End of World real?”. There are hundreds of theories on the matter, but which ones are true. Will the earth really end on December 21, 2012? With all of these questions there are answers. This theory of the destruction of the earth stems from the translation of a Mayan calendar. The translation was performed by archeologists that studied the ancient Mayan temples and believe that they have the answers to the riddle that is the Mayan written language. These “experts” postulate the destruction of the Earth in 2012, but does that mean it is true?

Is 2012 end of world? There are many theories on what will happen in 2012. These theories are sorted and vary in severity. Some of the theories include what is called a polar shift, in which the geomagnetic poles reverse. However, a geomagnetic reversal takes millions of years to occur. This reversal would cause world wide storms and destruction. Other such doomsday theories include an alignment with a black hole that is in the center of the Milky Way galaxy that will rip the earth apart. The problem with that theory is that the Black hole is 30,000 light years away from earth and need to be about 6 million times closer to actually effect the planet. Another is that the Earth with collide with what is being called a planet meteor called Nibiru. This theory stems from a group of people that base their claims on the idea of them channeling an alien race that lives on the planet.

All of these doomsday theories allude to the end of the world by means that seem barely believable. Most of them have been refuted by astronomers and other scientists with NASA. And these frightening concepts stem from a calender that is hundreds of thousands of years old. The translation of the calender does not say specifically that the world will end. The concept began because the calender ended at a specific date, December 21, 2012, the end of the world. However, this may not be the case at all. Recently, a representative of the existing Mayan elders came forward to spread a new warning. Carlos Barrios, a historian, anthropologist, investigator, as well as a ceremonial priest, says that the translations are wrong and that the world is not going to end at all, rather, it will change.

According to Mr. Barrios, the Mayan elders have been studying the calender that supposedly gives this prophecy and sixteen others like it. He says that the only people that can read it correctly are the indigenous tradition keepers that know the full scope of the knowledge held in the calender. According to their accounts, the world is in a transition from one age to another. This “new age” will bring about a global understanding and peace will follow. That is not to say that there will not be devastation, but the world will heal itself and to do this, it will have to cleans itself of impurities on its surface. This does not mean that the world will end, but it will change for the better.

Is 2012 end of world? It is not necessarily something to fear. The Mayan calender is not complete, but that does not mean that the Mayan people anticipated a global catastrophe. It only means that the calender ended and probably needs to be reset. The idea that, all over the world, people are scared that the end is coming and so they are showing their families love when they have not for so many years is laughable. The concept that these same people are only showing signs of being human because they are afraid that they will not get into Heaven when 2012 comes is a poor statement of humanity. That it takes threat of death for us to enjoy and respect life is a sign of social ineptitude. We need to wake up and, as Carlos Barrios said, take action in our life, our world, our universe. If it ends, it will only be because we did not fight to save it.
