Is the world going to end in 2012?

No, and here is why it won't.

The theory of the world ending in 2012 isn't true, it's just a silly hoax. The world isn't going to end on December 21, 2012, just the Mayan Calendar ends. One of several Mayan calendars is the Long Count calendar, which is reset to day 0 every 1,872,000 days or 7057.5 years. The next reset date, by some calculations, is December 21, 2012. This is not a prediction of the end of the world. The Mayan Calendar has to end sometime and did you know when the Mayan Calendar ended the Mayans would celebrate? Besides, nobody can't predict when the end of the world is. You shouldn't always believe what you hear from other people. The scientific evidence about 2012 doesn't go together. Those who spread rumors about 2012 should be punished. You know what is sad, people may commit suicide over this thinking its the end of the world. Or maybe some people would get unwise with their money and spend it all like crazy and be in thousands of dollars in debt, just because they thought the world would end. Then they have to pay it off later and deal with the stress of those bills. That's why those who spread rumors about 2012 should be punished. You know what else is false about this 2012 garbage?

• Planet X (Nibiru) isn't going to hit the Earth it doesn't exist.
• Poles are switching everyday, this isn't going to happen all in just 1 day. This process takes thousands of years. Throughout geological history there has been may pole switches and life has still survived.
• Also people are saying these poles will switch in one day due to a black hole. That's NOT true. The nearest black hole to our galaxy is 1600 light years away.
• Sun will be lined up with a sunspot, but it doesn't mean it will wipe out all life on Earth. One time ago, Earth was lined up with a sunspot and people were on it and everybody didn't just die.
• There is not going to be catasphoic earthquakes.
• In the Bible there is nothing that says the world will end in 2012. They say they got their proof from Revelation 13 and you see the number 666 and that number is just a number in God's book that represents human imperfection. So, 3 of those 6's mean humans are extremely imperfect.
• Just because certain cultures predict it like the Chinese, Japanese and all of them doesn't mean their predictions are correct. As I said, nobody can predict such a thing.
• No comment will hit Earth.

Each time the end the world is predicted. They are always wrong. Here are all the predictions of when the world would end and each time they where wrong. Before 2012 it was 2006. Then 2000. And 1990, 1988, 1987, 1986, 1985, 1984, 1982, 1980, 1975, 1974, 1970, 1967, 1960, 1957, 1953, 1948, 1940, 1936, 1919, 1915, 1914, 1891, 1856, 1850, 1844, 1832, 1830, 1794, 1792, 1736, 1689, 1669, 1533, 1524, 1496, 1346, 1284, 1205, 1033, 1005, 1000, 992, 968, 500, 375, 365, 200, 90, 60, 30. SEE!! The end hasn't came and all this shows they are wrong!! Through out history the end has been predicted but has never happened so, whats the point of worrying?

Don't live your life in fear. Just live your life be sucessful in your life by getting good grades, staying in school, going to college, getting promoted at your job, and achieving lots of goals. Don't worry about something this silly. It isn't going to happen! Every few years these silly predictions about the world ending happen. It has happened throughout Human history. Anyways, as from what I just said, you can't predict the future. What if tommarow were the end? What if tommarow you died in car accident, or something else went wrong which costs your life?

The End of the World 2012, and thinking back to wonder if we were somehow conditioned for the idea of it. I believe that those movies like Mad Max, Road Warrior were terrific action movies, I also liked That movie with Robin Williams and Walter Mathou ‘The Survivors.’ It was hilarious and deep.

There were a lot of gruesome zombie films too that revolve the story around Top Secret Government virus and infectious disease are engineered and unleashed on mankind. Some of the scenarios Hollywood can dream up are pretty inventive and intensely detailed.

There was a film called “Outbreak” Dustin Hoffman, Morgan Freeman, Kevin Spacey, an incredible cast with a well written script. Obviously, about an outbreak of a virus that almost wiped out an entire town. It was an intriguing film but scary to the core of too close to a realistic possibility.

Perhaps, that is what made it so frightening. I am also reminded of that old radio show “The War of the worlds,” by Orson wells. People actually thought it was real news in place of entertainment and small outbreaks of panic spread.

That is amazing to me. I couldn’t really see writing an article about the conditioning through Film, Television, and Radio without mentioning that old “War of the Worlds” broadcast. The point here is that its pretty powerful stuff. It is natural to be somewhat concerned about the coming years and in particular that date, December, 12, 2012.

There could be a realistic disaster caused by the peoples’ energies all combined. Everyone so intent on SOMETHING HAPPENING that maybe some will MAKE IT HAPPEN. Not to throw fuel on the fire but there are a lot of crazy people out in this world. What if, I often wonder, a group or organization were to act out using the anticipation of that date as a distraction for a major strike.

If not in real life then maybe it would make a great movie.

I really think we are desensitized by film and entertainment. However I am not so sure it is used to for conditioning, At least, not in the way of 2012 and the end of the world. This new film is an answer by popular demand contributing to an already hyped up frenzy.

The date of December 21, 2012 is what many believe to be the doomsday date. This isn’t just some random date chosen. Many end of the world signs points to this very date as the date of the apocalypse.

2012 end of the world no yes? answer!!!!?

Ok they are making a movie but ive been knowing about this for like 2-3 years bye watching the history channel. They (i don't know who they actually is) believe that the ancient Mayan indians predictided the end of days (end of the world) I was freaked out how would you feel if you thought you only had a couple of years to live (excaly 3 when 2009 comes) its scary and i know no one can answer this but just give me your opinions!

Yahoo! UK News Message Boards – Space and NASA – Planet X – 2012???

Just a query certain people say that in 2012 planet X will enter our little bit of space causing certain disasters, can i ask, seeing as 2012 only 3yrs away, why cant we see planet X yet after all its 3 light yrs away?
Secondly why are NASA suddenly acknowledging that planet X might exist without actually coming out and saying so?
Could it be so if it all turns out to be right they can claim they suspected it might be and if it turns out to be wrong then they can claim they was right all along, without losing face?
Could'nt it be just FACT that NASA know as much as we do (joe bloggs) which is literally nothing? just a thought.

What are your thoughts on the year 2012? end of the world or just another normal year?

End of the world many people from around the world predict the end is in 2012 not just now but also in the past.

Normal year nobody knows what could cause it to end the world exactly. so some don't worry including many scientists.
